Weekly Workshops
Dopey Kid Originals are dedicated to inspiring imagination and what better way to do that than to give kids a chance to try interesting new craft, art and creative projects they may not otherwise get exposed to. We offer a full range of workshops designed for kids. These workshops give kids the chance to try something new, learn a few skills, take risks, make mistakes and most important of all: HAVE FUN! We take pride in the quality and variety of the projects the kids make at our workshops. A prototype is always available for kids to "copy", but we really encourage kids to take the how-to instruction and make their project their own. (our projects are not made from kits!) Workshops are 2 hours long and are independent activities. This means we ask you to drop participants off for the workshop and come back at the end! Check out some of our great results:
All workshops are held at the Dopey Kid Studio. Enjoy some time to yourself or run errands; it's all about you! Workshops are designed for kids aged 6 years and up, though some will be designed for kids 9 and up. This is because many of the tools we use require a combination of dexterity and responsibility/safety. We don't want to discourage any participant and would always recommend asking about the difficulty level of the program if your child is interested, but "under age". Space is limited and we encourage you to register early so you don't miss out! We do accept reservations by phone and email, however, please know that we cannot hold a spot without payment. For this reason, we recommend registering in person at the store. All workshops are $15 +HST. Take advantage of savings available when you register 2 or more children. Creative Birthday Parties - Now Booking!All parties are private functions and are held at the Dopey Kid Studio. A minimum of 6 children per party with Basic and Enhanced packages available. Enjoy a variety of fun, art projects, outdoor activities, learn to cook and more atDopey Kid’s “Get Your Creative On!”Summer Day CampsEach day, Campers will get the chance try something new, creative and fun that is geared to their age/skill level: mosaics, painting, sculpting with clay, sewing, puppetry, candle making, jewelry, ceramics, singing/dancing/acting, scrapbooking, paper-crafting, natural camp arts & crafts and more! In addition to daily art projects, campers will participate in a variety of sport activities such as softball, soccer, swimming, lawn bowling, field hockey, team building/cooperation games, scavenger hunts and more!
Art projects will be on display in our Camp Art Gallery to view and take home. Most Importantly... Lunch and Snacks are provided! Campers learn about making healthy choices for their body and for reducing their impact on a healthy planet. Campers will participate in meal preparation (age appropriately and with supervision). Lunch and two snacks per day are included. (Please be sure to advise us of any allergies when registering so we can plan our menu according to any special needs). Who: Kids aged 5 years to 11 years + Where: Dopey Kid Creative Studio, 7323 Highway 26 When: 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday 2012 themes will be updated by March 31! This year, the themes will revolve around the type of arts and crafts we'll be doing: Drawing/Painting, Paper Crafting, Needle Crafts, Physical/Dramatic and so on.

Payment in full must be received by June 30 for July camps and by July 15 for August camps
Daily Rate: $45/day single; $40/day multiple - includes lunch, snacks, crafts and all activities 8:30 am to 5 pm
